  • How to House Train Your Dog

Naturally, your dog will not know where the right and wrong place to “potty” is.

That is why you must house train your dog so it learns where it is okay to do its necessities.

If you live in a house with a backyard, then the best solution is to keep your dog outdoors in the area it is allowed to go.

If you live in a small apartment, then you will need to take your dog out for walks, especially after eating/drinking.

If you do catch your dog going in the wrong place, you must firmly say “No!” but this must be at the exact moment you catch your dog going “potty” in the wrong place. Then take your dog to the allowed area.

There is no use in calling attention to your dog if you find a urine or defecation, becuase the dog will not know what you are angry about. That is why it is important you catch your dog in the exact moment it is going in the wrong place.

Dog house training supplies are also very helpful if you live in a small area. You can use dog training pads and place them in the area you want your dog to potty.

Also, if you do have a urine stain in a carpet or floor, make sure you use an Dog Odor/Stain cleaner, cleaning up the mess with anything else will not do. This is becuase you may no percieve the odor but your dog still can and will come back to the same place.

Remember, house training your dog takes patience and persistence. Training should be fun and all you need is to firmly say “No!” when you catch your dog going in the wrong area.
